it may make more sense for the app to default showing up in the dock and menu. you can easily take it away, but if it isn't showing up in the dock and menu i may not realize that it can do that, or might have trouble finding it, etc.

    New in 1.3.4

    • New Macs show Smolpad in the Dock as well as the menu bar. A menu bar app you can't find is a menu bar app you don't use: "if it isn't showing up in the dock and menu I may not realize that it can do that." Settings › General still has the switch. Existing Macs keep the menu bar on its own, exactly as before.
